Main duties of the job
You will be providing support within Charles Clifford Dental Hospital and will carry out the normal dental nurse role and duties supervised by qualified dental nurses and tutors. Duties within this role include provide close chairside assistance, test equipment and machinery, receive and prepare patients and undertake safely and effectively decontamination, disinfection and sterilisation of instruments and equipment ready for use.
The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and enthusiastic with strong organisational skills and have a desire to deliver excellent patient care within their role.

This vacancy is advertised on a fixed term contract basis for a period of 18 months due to this being an apprenticeship/training programme which will start in September 2024 on the national apprenticeship wage which will commence at £12,514; after 12 months in post this will increase to the National Minimum Wage (depending upon your age).
There is no upper age limit on joining us as an apprentice.
NB: Due to UK apprenticeship funding regulations applicants must have a right to work in the UK, or for EU citizens hold pre-settled or settled status and have been a UK or EU resident for the last three years or have indefinite leave to remain with documents that are not due to expire during the duration of the apprenticeship contract. Applicants must also not already have a qualification at a higher level within the same subject matter.
