Job summary
We are looking to appoint to Whole-Time Consultant Immunologist to Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust based at the Northern General Hospital.
We would welcome applications from candidates across the full spectrum of experience, from those who have recently completed training to those who have well-established careers.
Any candidate who is unable for personal reasons to work full-time will be eligible to be considered for the post; if such a person is appointed, modification of the job content will be discussed on a personal basis with the Trust in consultation with consultant colleagues.

Main duties of the job
The appointee will, together with Consultant colleagues be responsible for the provision and professional direction of the Clinical Immunology and Allergy Unit and the Laboratory Medicine Immunology Service and will work flexibly to ensure continuous provision of laboratory and clinical duties. The new appointees will initially have no duties in respect of the UKNEQAS organisation, but there may be opportunities to develop this in future in the light of the needs of the service and individual interests.
