Applications are invited for a rotational Physiotherapy post based at the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
This is an exciting opportunity for you to be part of patient centred, transformational service delivery.
We offer rotations through the specialities of integrated therapy, medicine, musculoskeletal, neurology and respiratory. You will have the opportunity to gain experience along pathways of care within both the acute inpatient, outpatient and community settings.
The post holder will carry a clinical caseload, planning and prioritising own work and seeking assistance and guidance when needed. They will also delegate clinical duties to therapy and healthcare assistants ensuring they have appropriate knowledge, understanding and competence.
Each rotation of 6 months will be at either the Northern General Hospital, Royal Hallamshire Hospital, Weston Park Hospital or in a community setting in Sheffield.
We will also welcome applications from students due to graduate this year.
Main duties of the job
- Provide training and supervision for the task if required.
- Gather, analyse, and evaluate information to identify problems in partnership with the patient, carer and colleagues.
- Select and use appropriate assessment techniques in hospital, the patient's own home and/or in the community. Make clinical diagnosis and apply clinical reasoning.
- Negotiate and set appropriate, realistic, and individualised therapy goals in partnership with the patient, carer, and colleagues.
- Set up equipment for therapy and ensure it is used safely by patients, carers, staff and/or students.
