Job summary
Do you have a keen eye for detail and a desire to work as part of a team supporting staffing allocation?
We have an exciting opportunity for an Off Duty Coordinator to join our existing team, working 37.5 hours a week over a 7-day rota, the post holder will work with midwifery and neonatal colleagues to ensure staffing meets minimum requirements and that staffing allocation is accurately reflected on our systems.
The successful candidate will need to be able to work weekends, these will be allocated on a rota basis.
Main duties of the job
- To maintain the E-roster system for all midwifery areas
- To assist the 2902 bleep holder by contacting staff to cover late unexpected sickness absence.
- To assist Ward Managers and Matrons in the management of sickness absence by acting as the contact point for staff when reporting sickness, receiving sensitive information in a reassuring and empathetic manner.
- To record all sickness of the Department.
- Identify staff shortages in advance and take appropriate action.
- To be the central point of contact with the Trust Salaries and Wages Department and midwifery staff.
- Support the role of the Off Duty Manager.
- To maintain an efficient, effective and accurate record of the off duty for all midwifery areas.
- To record all sickness absence and liaise with the Matron's and Victoria Pay Services.
- To cover a 364 day service.
- To be part of a small team in the off-duty co-ordinators office providing valuable support to the Midwifery Director/ Midwifery / Matrons.
- We cover a 7-day service (including bank holidays) ensuring optimum staffing levels, maintain accurate daily rosters.
