An exciting opportunity has arisen for a caring, enthusiastic, and motivated person to work as Level 3 qualified Senior Nursery Practitioner at the Sunshine Day Nursery NGH.

The position is for 37.5 hours, working 5 days p/w Mon to Fri, working flexibly between the hours of 6.30am and 7.00pm.

The role of the Senior Nursery Practitioner is to assist in the development and running of the Sunshine Day Nursery, to provide excellent care to children between the ages of 4 months to 5 years. of age in a safe, clean, and stimulating environment.

The successful candidate must have a Level 3 childcare qualification and extensive childcare experience working with children aged 4 months to 5 years in a childcare setting.

You will need to be a caring, enthusiastic, self -motivated person who can take on the role of key person and plan accordingly for those children, as well as supporting colleagues within the team. You must be knowledgeable in the EYFS standards and keen to support our children in a safe and caring environment to grow and develop within their own potential.

Main duties of the job

  • To supervise / mentor Child Care Assistants, Bank Staff, and Students.
  • To work as part of an effective team in providing high quality childcare for children attending the Day Nursery / Holiday Club based on a philosophy of family type care.
  • To promote a safe, caring and inclusive environment to enable each child to grow and develop within its own potential through self led learning.
  • To ensure policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.
