An exciting opportunity has arisen within The Integrated Community Care Directorate, we have two full time Administration Assistant roles available for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our Centralised Business Admin Team (CBAT). This role is vacant due to staff moving on in their careers within the NHS and reflective of the supportive environment that ICC has developed for its Administrative Staff.

CBAT is a small team that supports the whole directorate operationally ensuring that our community based, clinical teams have everything they need when they need it. This is a flexible back-office role, with the added opportunity to work from home some of the time. The role is based at Northern General Hospital, Firth Park Clinic and Lightwood.

The team also supports the ICC management team in the management of annual leave and absence and supports new starters with equipment and uniforms.

This is just a flavour for the role and how pivotal it is to the operational flow of the directorate.

Main duties of the job

As an experienced administrator in this team you will support the administration of:

  • Absence
  • Annual leave
  • Ordering
  • PPE
  • Uniforms
  • New Starters
  • Equipment Calibration for multiple large teams across the directorate.

Essential

  • GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics, at grade C/4 or above OR (equivalent demonstrable experience).
  • NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent experience.
  • OCR II or equivalent in Word Processing/typing or equivalent.

Desirable

  • ECDL Parts I and II.

Experience

Essential

  • Appropriate experience in monitoring, processing, recording and reporting on staff sickness and annual leave.
  • Experience of initiating and setting up monitoring systems to record appropriate information.
  • Appropriate experience in an administrative role within an office environment.
  • Microsoft Office skills at intermediate level - Word, Excel and Outlook, e.g. demonstrated by short courses or experience.
  • Experience of working with minimum supervision.

Desirable

  • Experience of working within a healthcare setting.
  • Basic knowledge of Primary and/or Community Healthcare.
  • Ability to maintain accurate written records and statistics.
