An opportunity has arisen to join our team of Nuclear Medicine Clinical Technologists/Radiographers based in Sheffield.
We are looking to recruit a highly motivated Clinical Technologists/Radiographer to act as Quality Lead for Nuclear Medicine Regulatory Compliance and Senior Radiation Protection Supervisor.This is an exciting opportunity to join the team providing Nuclear Medicine (NM) services to Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust(STH) as well as providing services/support to other Trusts in the local region.
The successful candidate will put patient care at the centre of their work and demonstrate excellent team working skills alongside the largermultidisciplinary team providing Nuclear Medicine services.Candidates will be a registered Clinical Technologists/Radiographer in the nuclear medicine speciality and have demonstrated an ability towork both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Main duties of the job
Candidates will be experienced Clinical tech/Radiographer specialising in nuclear medicine with pervious roles/knowledge as an RPS/Quality lead who have demonstrated an ability to work both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Part of the larger Medical Imaging and Medical Physics Directorate, the Nuclear Medicine service at STH is a large and comprehensive servicewith expertise in diagnostic imaging and non-imaging, radiopharmacy and molecular radiotherapy. It operates on three STH sites across Sheffieldas well as supporting external Trusts in the local region.STH Nuclear Medicine is a four-camera department performing 6,000 investigations per year.

Essential
- Vocational degree (Hon.) in Nuclear Medicine or relevant scientific subject with experience equivalent to satisfy requirements of the register of Clinical Technologists.
- Postgraduate Diploma or equivalent experience in Nuclear Medicine, Radiopharmacy or equivalent level of knowledge.
- Registration as, or qualifications and experience as to enable immediate registration as a Clinical Technologist (Nuclear Medicine) on the Register of Clinical Technologists (RCT) / Registration as a Radiographer with the HCPC.
- Management qualification, or experience in the managing of teams.
- Evidence of on-going professional development and CPD.

- oTeaching / training qualification or equivalent experience.
