If this is you, then an exciting opportunity has arisen to apply for the role of Endoscopy Service Co-ordinator based across both sites the Northern General and Royal Hallamshire Hospital.
The successful candidate will have extensive administrative experience, excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, and experience of managing staff.
Main duties of the job
The main duties of the jobs are:
- To record staff sickness and absences completing relevant documentation inline with Trust policy. To take first line action with regards to staff sickness and absence policies ensuring the Operational Manager is advised when further action needs to be taken.
- Assisting with the Admin co-ordination Team of staffing rotas to ensuring that the clerical services are covered, escalating any issues that cannot be resolved to the Operational Manager.
- To work in conjunction with the Operational Manager, develop, implement, and monitor good working practices and protocols ensuring the provision of a high-quality service for all admin teams. To Utilise the full range of Information systems (Lorenzo, Infoflex, ERS, EDMS, and ICE) as required. In the absence of the Endoscopy Service Scheduler, ensure that all clinical activity sessions are fully booked.
- Monitor workload of endoscopy clerical staff within department to ensure work is distributed evenly. To ensure effective cover arrangements within existing staff resources, working flexibly to provide absence cover for co-ordinator colleagues when appropriate. In conjunction with the Operational Manager oversee recruitment of new staff. Deputise for the Operational Manager in periods of absence as appropriate.
- To work across both sites, Northern General & Royal Hallamshire Hospital on a 50/50 basis to ensure overall management of the admin team.
