Job summary
To develop and support infrastructure to support Medical Imaging and Medical Physics. Along with the skills necessary to interact with the services users effectively the role will also require software development in Microsoft.NET C# so the candidate must be experienced in both of these areas. Although direct experience of C# is desirable, experience of Java or other similar languages would be considered.
Alongside this core role we also expect the candidate to contribute to other development and scientific activities within the department as required and appropriate.
Main duties of the job
Work with clinical, scientific and technical colleagues within the Trust and University to ensure the services you are responsible for are running effectively and meeting the needs of those services.
Provide high quality Scientific Computing and Informatics advice and support to the Research community, Directorate and where appropriate to other Directorates within the Trust.
Participate in the development of new uses of clinical software and systems for Directorate, Trust and research use.
Undertake training and development activities; supervise and train others as appropriate.
Play an active role in the activities of the Section and Directorate.
Assist with the management of computing assets.
