Jessop Fertility offers a unique and dedicated service to couples who are experiencing fertility problems. Located in the Jessop Wing, Sheffield, Jessop Fertility is one of the UK's leading assisted conception centres. Our service is led by highly experiences NHS consultants who are experts in the field of infertility and reproductive surgery to ensure patients receive exceptional service with continuity of care.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a central role in the provision of efficient, high quality and comprehensive administrative service to the Assisted Conception Unit and Jessop Fertility.
Main duties of the job
Contribute to the delivery of an efficient and effective administrative service within the Department.
Undertake administration functions for the department, such as e-mail, post, telephone calls, messages, photocopying and scanning.
Undertake accurate recording / inputting and amending of data within patient notes and Trust information systems, including input of data to HFEA regulatory body within set timeframes.
Booking and rescheduling patient appointments.
Communicate effectively with the use of tact and diplomacy and seek to overcome barriers to effective communication. This may require the use of multiple communication methods, such as email, telephone, reception duties, etc.
Work collaboratively with the wider departmental team to ensure a consistent and effective Patient First service.
Actively use initiative within the role but seek guidance when required and appropriate.
Assist and support in the development and improvement of the service by sharing discussing and implementing new ideas and ways of working with colleagues and Directorate staff.
Complete all mandatory training required by the Trust and actively participate in personal development.
Assist with the training of new or less experienced members of staff.
Undertake effective prioritisation of own workload and the coordination of activities / duties related to the role.
Assist with the archiving of patient notes in line with HFEA regulations.
Taking and processing of payments for self-funding patients.
