Job summary
There is a vacancy within the Voluntary Services Team for an experienced Volunteer Coordinator to support volunteers across the hospital's Central Campus (Royal Hallamshire, Jessop Wing, Charles Clifford Dental Hospital, Weston Park Cancer Centre).
The role is varied and interesting, involving working directly with volunteers and a variety of Trust staff and departments.
The successful applicant will be enthusiastic and personable, with excellent communication skills. they will be well organised, able to work on their own initiative and happy to be based at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital.
Main duties of the job
To promote, recruit, induct, support and coordinate approximately 120 volunteers across 30+ roles and departments.
To coordinate the provision of volunteers in a variety of roles across the Trust.
To ensure that the recruitment, selection and placement of volunteers, reflects the local community and is carried out in accordance with Trust policies and procedures.
To develop and support new volunteering opportunities across the Trust and be a key point of contact for Trust staff to receive advice from the Voluntary Services Team.
To support volunteers and monitor the impact of volunteers within the Trust.
To maintain accurate records of all volunteering activity, training and support.
