Job summary
We are looking to appoint to Consultant in Geriatric Medicine with a specialist interest in Parkinson's Disease at the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust based at Northern General Hospital Sheffield.
We would welcome applications from candidates across the full spectrum of experience, from those who have recently completed training to those who have well-established careers.
Any candidate who is unable for personal reasons to work full-time will be eligible to be considered for the post; if such a person is appointed, modification of the job content will be discussed on a personal basis with the Trust in consultation with consultant colleagues.

Main duties of the job
As part of our consultant team, the appointee will be responsible for the provision of comprehensive and high quality Geriatric Medicine at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals. They will lead a multidisciplinary team to care for a cohort of patients on one of our Geriatric Medicine base wards, working alongside another Consultant Geriatrician.
They will undertake a regular Parkinson's Disease clinic, and alongside another consultant colleague and a Parkinson's Disease Nurse Specialist, they will contribute to the continuous improvement of our service to ensure we are delivering the highest quality holistic care.
