Job summary
This is an ideal opportunity to begin a career in the NHS. Whilst we currently have a number of vacancies we also wish to identify suitable candidates for whom we can complete the clearance process so that we have candidates that are fully cleared to commence employment as soon as a suitable vacancy is identified for them.
All vacancies will be on evenings only (there are no day vacancies available) for 17.5 hours per week. The vacancies available are for evening posts on the Theatre areas at Royal Hallamshire Hospital.
Salary - £10.37 per hour rising to £10.90 per hour, plus enhancements/unsocial hours payments where applicable
Main duties of the job
All posts will be required to undertake a range of domestic duties, for example maintaining a high standard of cleanliness using modern cleaning methods and machinery. There is a requirement to attend cleaning requirements of bodily fluids and barrier cleaning and training new staff members. In addition, the Domestic Assistant/Ward Assistant roles will be required to assist with the distribution of meals to patients and collection of trays after meal service and other related duties. Some posts are based on wards and others may be in non clinical areas.
