Job summary
Due to the promotion of the current post-holder, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and experienced business analyst to apply for a permanent role as Business Analyst working across the Combined Community and Acute Group.
This is a key role in the Business Intelligence and Performance function of the care group which will work across all of the directorates in the care group: Integrated Community Care; Integrated Geriatric and Stroke Medicine and Therapeutics and Palliative Care.

Main duties of the job
- This is a specialist role and is critical to support key decision makers to monitor performance, enhance service planning and lead to better delivery of services across a wide spectrum of needs and settings in the Combined Community and Acute Care Group.
- The post holder will co-ordinate daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports for the CCAG Executive Team to monitor performance against Care Group plans, projects and standards.; reports will also be developed for sharing with front line staff.
- The post holder will be responsible for the on-going development of the Information Systems in CCAG and development of the Care Group Performance Management offer in collaboration with other Care Group performance/analyst roles.
- The post holder is the primary provider of Business Analyst support to the Integrated Community Care Directorate within the group with other Care Group responsibilities.

- The post holder will be required to undertake the following business analysis responsibilities as either the lead business analyst or by deputising for the Senior Business Analyst in the care group to ensure resilience of the crucial business analysis function.
- Undertake the interpretation of highly complex NHS national payment rules and translate those rules into complex algorithms and computer code to support delivery and recovery of Programme and Directorate income and expenditure.
- To communicate highly complex, sensitive, analytical information to service managers and staff where there may be barriers to understanding
- In conjunction with the Performance and Information team, manage the process of analysing, communicating, and disseminating data and information to build and support management action plans.
- Undertake detailed and complex analysis of performance on behalf the Executive Team.
- Develop and undertake the interpretation of complex reports on KPIs such as length of stay, midnight bed occupancy, flow across acute and community and other key metrics used to monitor improvement in the Care Group.
- Undertake regular analysis of Dr Fosters data and other benchmarking relating to the Stroke and Geriatric specialties and across acute and community services with particular attention to Length of Stay information.
- In conjunction with Care Group Clinical and Management team, manage the process of analysing, communicating, and setting activity plans and waiting list trajectories to support the acute services annual business planning round.
- Lead on the analysis and monitoring of some Care Group and Directorate Service Improvement plans using the Trusts WinChart software and statistical process control methodologies.
- Detailed working knowledge of Infoflex system to write technical reporting query to extract and interpret operational activity information for relevant group services.
- Extract, collate and interpret information in support of improvement in operational delivery to achieve Best Practice Tariff in relevant CCAG services.
- Specific support to the Deputy Operations Director in the delivery of Referral to Treatment time requirements and the CCAG data quality metrics.
