Main duties of the job
We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Assistant Psychologist to support the work of the qualified clinical psychologists working with children and their families, supporting staff teams and working collaboratively with multidisciplinary colleagues. There is a varied range of work, which will include therapeutic interventions as well as conducting neuropsychological assessments with children and young people. You will also support the clinical, research and administrative work of the wider psychology team, and you will be required to attend psychology team meetings. You will receive training for the role and regular supervision. As a team, we place a strong emphasis on self-care, supporting one another in our roles and offering development opportunities to Assistant Psychologists. The Child Psychology team provides a strong foundation from which we can offer high-quality services to children, their families, and our multidisciplinary colleagues.

- A First Class or Upper Second Class Degree in Psychology
- Eligibility for the Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership of the British Psychology Society. A Psychology degree on the list of approved courses: https://portal.bps.org.uk/Accredited-Courses or international qualification with current graduate membership of the BPS demonstrating that your degree has been assessed as equivalent.
Desirable
- Further training or MSc in associated/related field including neuropsychology, clinical psychology, research design and analysis or similar.
Previous or relevant experience necessary
