Main duties of the job
The department of Perioperative Care at University Hospital Southampton NHSFoundation Trust is delighted to be able a offer the role of Prehabilitation ClinicalPractitioner. This role is opento both nursing and allied health professionals and will be an opportunity forsomeone to work with a leading centre in both research and clinical expertise inperioperative care.The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work alongside a seniormulti-professional team of nurses, dietitians, anaesthetists, psychologists,physiologists and project managers, to provide expert led prehabilitationprograms for surgical patients.Within your role you will have the opportunity to help design the structure ofprehabilitation at UHS, manage a caseload of patients, lead and manage a team ofband 6 staff, support and work on research projects, and represent UHSPerioperative care on a local, national and global stage.

- Registered Healthcare Professional on relevant part of NMC / HCPC register
- Evidence of experience and completion of all band 6 competencies within relevant speciality
- Clear about professional accountability re. Autonomous practice
- Diagnosis and Decision Making qualification (Level 7)
- History taking and Physical assessment qualification
- Provide evidence of leading learning in practice
- Provide evidence of supporting colleagues to promote learning in practice providing an excellent learning environment for all
- Provide evidence of supporting /managing and supervision a range of learnings in practice.
