Job summary
Bursledon House is a unique provision run by a small but extremely dedicated team. We provide assessment and treatment of complex medical and psychological conditions for children from 0-16 years including:
o Somatoform disorderso Complex bowel issueso Assessment of behaviouro Rehabilitation for children post neurological traumao Management of children on the diabetic and obesity pathwayo Management of children requiring Long Term Ventilationo Complex feeding issues
We implement holistic, medical and psychological models of treatment in a homely and welcoming environment. The unit is a non-medical setting with our own gardens and onsite school. We are part of the Southampton Children's Hospital, part of University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust. We are based on the edge of the Southampton General Hospital site, open Monday to Friday, with the children going home at weekends to consolidate their treatment.
