Main duties of the job
We have a rare opportunity for a part time (22.5 hours per week) B4 Therapy Technician to join our Children's therapy team on a fixed term basis covering maternity leave.This unique post includes working with children of all ages and their families on the children's wards and as outpatients.You will have the opportunity to work closely with the therapists and wider MDT across multiple different speciality areas, assisting or independently carrying out therapeutic activities either 1:1 or in groups. This includes gait practise, fitting and issuing orthotics/aids/ equipment, discharge planning, gym sessions, hydrotherapy, promoting and practising functional tasks e.g., washing and dressing.This role is largely patient facing however also includes monitoring stock, assisting with admin/data and other tasks.
