Main duties of the job
The use of capturing patient information on electronic systems is increasing and as a Trust, we are becoming more reliant on using digital to manage our patient care and day-to-day running of the wards. To make sure we do this to the best of our ability, you will need to be passionate about digital and experienced at using clinical digital systems, for example, InPatient Noting, eWhiteboards, DigiRounds, UHS Apps, EPMA etc... As this is an educational role you will be developing and implementing training packages for clinical staff on our digital applications. You do not need to be a technical wizard, just passionate about always improving and believing in the power of information.
As this role will require you to work across all specialties across the Trust, it will provide you with an opportunity to raise your profile, develop and practice excellent leadership and communication skills and support quality improvement.
About us
As one of the largest acute teaching Trusts in England, we offer learning and development opportunities to help you achieve the career you aspire to.
Specific to this role we are open to discussing flexibility in the hours that you work. Please talk to us at interview about the flexibility you need, and we will explore what's possible for the role and service. UHS employees are able to access a range of NHS discounts, are entitled to a minimum of 35 days paid holiday (pro rata), and we offer a generous pension scheme.
Southampton is an attractive place to live and work situated on the south coast, with an international airport and direct trains to London. The New Forest National Park and beaches of the Jurassic coast are also right on our doorstep. The city offers living costs 20% lower than London and 14 schools rated outstanding by Ofsted.
