Main duties of the job

An opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Senior Sister/Charge Nurse to join our Adult cardiac ward (E3 Blue) within the Cardiovascular and Thoracic care group. If you are an excellent team leader with experience of leading teams and supporting change, committed to helping us to shape the future of Cardiac nursing, we'd love to hear from you.

As one of the largest Clinical Care Groups within University Hospital Southampton (UHS) there are numerous opportunities for development within the Cardiothoracic speciality. Everyone has the ability to contribute to the development of the service and your ideas about how the service can be improved or redesigned are always welcome.

ABOUT THE TEAME3 Blue - Is a regional provider of adult Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery. It is a team with a combined leadership of Ward E3 Green who has a similar specialist focus. They take patients directly from Cardiac High Dependency (CHDU), Coronary Care Unit (CCU) and Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU).Our ward ethos is: 'We pledge to care for you, the patient, as we would want our relatives to be cared for. We will treat you as an individual and aim to reach the best possible outcome for you.
