Main duties of the job
The Building Maintenance Department at Southampton General Hospital require qualified Carpenters to join our dedicated team on this modern healthcare estate. To keep the essential services running 24/7 you will enjoy working on a wide range of Carpentry works Trust wide.
Previous experience in an allied industry/application is desirable although not essential. You'll be required to demonstrate completion of a formal apprenticeship or equivalent at interview. The core elements of the job description require a good knowledge in respect of Carpentry and construction.
Opportunities exist to learn new vocational skills and techniques through specialised training throughout the modern healthcare estate. In addition we promote and support individual academic learning for future career development opportunities.
