Main duties of the job
Applications are invited for a 10 PA, fixed term, 12 month Locum Consultant post in Infectious Diseases and Medical Microbiology at University Hospital Southampton to commence in August 2024.

In partnership with the University of Southampton the post offers opportunities for undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and for research.
The integrated Department of Infection comprises services in Medical Microbiology, Medical Virology, inpatient and outpatient Infectious Diseases, Infection Prevention & Control, Antimicrobial Stewardship, OPAT and diagnostic laboratory services in Microbiology and Virology . UHS hosts the only inpatient ID service in the region and is the designated lead Trust for infection diagnostics for the regional pathology network - Southern Counties Pathology.
