Job summary
We are looking for a highly motivated, skilled and enthusiastic Physiotherapist with good problem- solving skills, to join our Outpatient respiratory and Long-term ventilation teams.The successful candidate will work alongside a team of experienced respiratory paediatric Physiotherapists and extensive MDT, managing children with long term respiratory conditions in a variety of settings. The job role is funded at 0.5 wte to provide a comprehensive Physiotherapy service provision to children accessing Southampton Children's Hospital LTV service, based at University Hospital Southampton.
The remaining 0.5 wte is embedded in admission avoidance, and early supportive discharge of complex respiratory patients from the wards, supporting the respiratory element of the regional neuromuscular services, and supporting the wider cardio-respiratory services.You will work as part of a combined therapy services team delivering patient care across a 7-day service, including weekends and bank holidays, on a roster basis. There will also be a requirement to participate in our Trust-wide, acute respiratory on-call rota (both children and adults).This post is part of the wider Therapy services department. You will have many opportunities to develop new skills and knowledge through our in-service training. You will be part of a large department of over 290 wte Therapy staff including Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Therapy support staff.
