An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Acuity team for a Project Support Officer.
Are you ready for a new challenge? Are you looking to develop your project management, service improvement and leadership skills? This 18-month funded secondment is open to staff in both clinical and non-clinical roles.
Following a successful application UHS has been awarded an NHS England 18 month funded project to incorporate patients and relatives worries and concerns into our deteriorating patient escalation policy and processes.
You will work alongside and support the Lead Nurse for Acuity to design, develop, implement and evaluate this exciting project across all adult in-patient areas within UHS. This opportunity is open to colleagues from both clinical and non-clinical roles.
You will be at the forefront of shaping our services through this trust wide improvement that is designed to put patients first and embodies UHS's core values.

The post holder will be responsible for a number of projects aligned to the NHS England Worries and Concerns Pilot objectives. They will need motivational skill, working closely with colleagues at all levels in the organisation, clinical and non-clinical and where appropriate the wider healthcare community. Proactively support these projects within and across divisions. The post holder will need to liaise with multi-disciplinary teams to help ensure improvements are monitored, achieved and fully delivered.
Using appropriate tools and techniques support the delivery of project objectives against identified goals. This includes understanding the detail of project schemes and their timescales and financial constraints.
Monitor the progress of projects. Lead specific areas of the project as required by the Lead Nurse for Acuity. Appropriately resolve or escalate any issues preventing progress to the Lead Nurse for Acuity.
Support the Lead Nurse for Acuity and the Worries and Concerns multi professional team to undertake detailed service evaluation and performance monitoring at various stages of the project and provide information for feedback reports on the project's success.
