An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, proactive, and self-motivated Team Leader to assist the Phlebotomy Co-ordinator and Phlebotomy Manager in the day to day running of our Ward based service as well as cross cover with our outpatient Phlebotomy team leaders.
ABOUT THE TEAMWe are looking for someone who wants to be part of a busy team, who is dynamic, reliable, and keen to take on the responsibilities of a team leader. This is a patient-facing role and a welcoming attitude, good communication and empathy with patients is essential as are phlebotomy and cannulation skills.
The role involves supervising our ward based Phlebotomy team, providing front line support to the team and coordinating communication between the Phlebotomist and the management team.The role requires some deputation for the Phlebotomy coordinator, including some basic HR administration such as return to work interviews.
The team covers Medicine, MOP and Emergency care wards within Division B and are mobile within this footprint with the home base being in the South academic block.
