Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic, driven new colleague to join our team as a Junior Clinical Fellow.This fellowship will split your time 75% clinical (on the junior doctor rota) and 25% allocated to pursuits (clinical or non-clinical) giving you the time and space to undertake work that furthers your interests and your medical career.
As an ED fellow you will join a very well supported team working principally in the Adult ED of a leading Major Trauma Centre.You will be allocated a supervising EM Consultant with relevant interests to support your project from amongst our reknowned team.There is EM Consultant presence on the shop floor at least 23 hours a day Monday to Friday and 16 hours per day over the weekend. When a consultant is not present in the department there will typically be two doctors of ST4+ level.

The opportunity for Continued Professional Development (CPD) is highly supported and encouraged by the Trust, with options available to take study leave. All licensed doctors must meet the GMC requirements for revalidation and there will be an annual appraisal to support this process.
Grades for Trust appointed (non-training) fellows will be paid a basic salary at a nodal pay point linked to the grade, at the rate set out in the National Medical and Dental pay circular. Basic salary detailed below plus any additional remuneration (as applicable) for hours set out in the doctors work schedule (e.g. additional hours, weekend allowance, and any hours which attract enhanced pay)
Basic Salary - MT03 £43.923
Please note that GMC registration (with a licence to practice) and right to work in the UK are essential for this role. Successful applicants will already have GMC registration or will be able to demonstrate they are eligible.
