Job summary

Are you interested in using data to make a difference to how we support patients at UHS? If so, this role could be for you.We are looking for a Trust Performance Insight Specialist to join the Performance team which sits under the larger Data and Analytics group at University Hospital Southampton.

This role will be vital in ensuring that we continue delivering high-quality and innovative service to stakeholders across the Trust. We are looking for someone proactive and enthusiastic about data analysis, ideally with extensive experience and a detailed understanding of NHS Information. This individual will require the ability to work with both clinical and operational colleagues to make data and intelligence a part of everyday decisions. You will need to be adaptable, willing to work across multiple projects and have the ability to reprioritise work when required.

What youll do

Reporting to the Trust Performance Insight Manager, the role will have a core focus on providing analytics and insight, and to work with operational teams, to support the performance improvement of the Trusts key national and local service performance commitments. You will be able to communicate effectively with all levels of staff in both verbal and written format and be able to present complex information clearly and concisely. To work collaboratively with senior managers to influence change and improve performance. To work with the operational teams and the Business Intelligence team to develop new and improved reporting and analytics which enables more effective performance management.

What were looking for is someone who is passionate about the delivery of high-quality care to our patients, is educated to a degree level in a relevant field, has strong analytics skills, has experience using data and analytics to improve operational performance, possesses excellent communication skills and is a self-starter, with an ability to prioritise and manage own workloadThe successful applicant will work as part of the Performance team within the Data and Analytics Directorate, working closely with the Trust Performance Insight Manager and Analysts across the team
