Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Band 6 Physiotherapist to join our B6 respiratory rotations and be part of our large Therapy Services department. We have a wide selection of respiratory rotations to enable you to develop a broad respiratory knowledge, working in ward, clinic and community settings. You would be part of a large, dynamic and supportive team that includes a Consultant Physiotherapist in respiratory medicine.

By joining this team you will be part of a combined Therapy Services department of over 260wte staff, consisting of B2-4 Therapy support staff, Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists. We are one of the largest teaching hospitals in Europe.

Previous or relevant experience necessary

  • Completed a minimum of 4 rotations at Band Five level, or equivalent, e.g. in a static post in relevant area, demonstrating a broad range of experience
  • Rotations should include 4 of the following clinical areas: Respiratory (ITU, Medicine, Medicine for Older People), MSK (inpatients, outpatients), Neurology (Stroke, acute neurology, ITU
  • On call competence with recent on call experience
  • Experience working in an acute hospital setting
  • Experience of supervising staff/students on placement

Desirable

  • Band 6 experience in relevant clinical area/respiratory within the last 12m
  • Experience of Audit/Research

Aptitudes and skills required
