Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Band 6 Physiotherapist to join our B6 respiratory rotations and be part of our large Therapy Services department. We have a wide selection of respiratory rotations to enable you to develop a broad respiratory knowledge, working in ward, clinic and community settings. You would be part of a large, dynamic and supportive team that includes a Consultant Physiotherapist in respiratory medicine.
By joining this team you will be part of a combined Therapy Services department of over 260wte staff, consisting of B2-4 Therapy support staff, Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists. We are one of the largest teaching hospitals in Europe.

- GICU

- Medicine acute wards with a rehabilitation focus
- Acute Medical Unit
- Adult cystic fibrosis
The post holder will be expected to lead the therapy team in the absence of the Band 7s, be involved in the teaching programme, service development, student supervision and the development of Band 2-5 therapy staff. All staff are expected to work flexibly to support a 7-day service.
WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR The successful applicant should have relevant postgraduate respiratory clinical experience with a desire to develop their knowledge and skills in the respiratory care of patients with a wide range of pathologies. Excellent support will be given towards continual learning and professional development, including undertaking regular audits.
