Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Urology nurse to join the Urology nursing team as a Prostate Cancer PTFU clinical nurse specialist. The post holder will be responsible for the provision of specialist nursing for patients diagnosed with localised and advanced prostate cancer. They will work within a team of nurse specialist's and support workers and lead the Prostate PTFU service.
The candidate will accept patient referrals to the Patient Triggered Follow up programme and be the identified key worker for a patient caseload to coordinate treatment and care. You will provide advice, education and support to patients, their carers and other health professionals.
We have a large team of Urology cancer nurse specialists and support workers and our Urology centre is a new department built for our purpose meaning we have access to specialist Urology teams and equipment. As a tertiary referral centre for urological cancers, we see and treat patients
