Job summary

Important information: This is a fixed-term/secondment role. In accordance with the UHS Secondment Policy, internal UHS candidates must gain approval from their manager before they apply and submit their application. We are looking for an experienced Lead Digital Project Manager to join the University Hospital Southampton (UHS) Informatics Digital Programme Management Office (DPMO).

You will play an essential role in delivering and managing digital projects to implement our ambitious digital strategy.

The role is permanent, 37.5 hrs per week, Monday to Friday, with hybrid working from home and on UHS sites in and around Southampton as necessary.

This role, and all DPMO roles, are suitable for part-time and flexible working. You will have the opportunity to discuss this at the interview.

  • Plan and deliver medium to large change projects are which are likely to be implemented across the whole Trust. Managing complex digital projects across multiple systems and interfaces, which could run for up to two years in planned duration, with an external spending budget between £0.5m and £2m.
  • Support the pre-project stages (expression of interest and feasibility) of any scale digital programme or project including very large change programmes.
  • Use project management expertise, and staff development and management skills to support management and development of the DPMO team and methodology.
