This is an exciting opportunity to join the Clinical Site Management team with multiple roles available (working 25-37 hours a week).
The Operations centre is often seen as the "hub" of the hospital where lots of decisions and plans are made to ensure the hospital can meet the demands of the emergency patients as well as the patients requiring an elective bed. The Operations Centre is also where the hospital runs its Major Incidents and Hospital Internal Management team meetings from. You will gain invaluable insight into how the Trust responds to the ever-growing demands of emergency and elective flow

Main duties of the job
You will be an integral part of the team that enables the Trust to function on a day-to-day basis which will involve being based in the Operations Centre and ensuring that patient flow and patient safety is always maintained. You will need to possess excellent communication skills as you will be expected to discuss and support patient pathways across the Trust, provide clinical expertise and leadership and coordinate the operational function for the whole hospital on all sites over a 24-hour period. As well as supporting care groups with bed capacity, you will also provide support in ensuring safe staffing is achieved, and respond to crash calls, fire alarms and many other issues. You will also act as the Mental Health Act Administrator whilst on duty. You will liaise with the Chief operating officer, on-call duty manager, on-call duty executive and all senior care group and divisional leads.

- Assess and identify the complex health and psychosocial needs of the patient and ensure patients are nursed in the appropriate area based on clinical need.
- Decision-making skills will be required to review patients and act appropriately- involving the review of notes, and results and linking with the multi-disciplinary/multi-agency teams.
- To support appropriate patient assessment both personally and by facilitation as necessary.
- To liaise closely with clinical teams ensuring patients are seen and treated in a timely fashion, intervening where necessary and providing adjudication & escalation as necessary.

- To be responsible for providing clinical advice and support to staff when managing complex cases.
