Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a project manager to join our Imaging Infrastructure Support Service (IISS) at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust (UHS). The primary focus will be responsibility for oversight and delivery of projects related to the IISS programme working in close collaboration with siemens healthineers and the IISS programme manager.

The IISS team have a diverse portfolio, from imaging department redesign to equipment selection and installation, as well as the day-to-day management of Trust party damage events. You will need a high degree of motivational skill, have a strong working knowledge of a radiology department and a sound understanding of the capability of the technologies.

  • On a day-to-day basis they will be responsible for the management of Trust party damage events ensuring timely replacement and communicating findings to the clinical teams to ensure that further damage is minimised, and appropriate controls put in place

The postholder must have knowledge and experience of NHS Radiology services. They must:

  • possess excellent communication skills and an enthusiasm for working collaboratively with others,.
  • show attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure against tight deadlines.
  • be able to provide professional project management expertise using appropriate tools and techniques
  • be able to demonstrate experience in the manipulation of architect drawings and reviewing possible options.
  • be able to use change management skills and experience to achieve outcomes and objectives.
  • have the ability to analyse complex, sensitive, and conflicting information and datasets including activity and patient flows, demand/capacity and performance data. Presenting information appropriately to a multi- disciplinary audience to enable them to act.
  • Experience in gathering and analysing information and requirement and proficient in the use of MS Office and the suite of applications
