JOB OVERVIEW

University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust is looking to recruit a highly motivated full time Band 5 Radiographer to do Radiography of The Chest for a Regional Specialist Cardiothoracic Radiology Department in one of the largest and most successful Foundation Trusts in the UK.

We are proud to have been recently awarded The Society of Radiographers South East Region Team of the year for 2022. Cardiothoracic Radiology is a closely-knit team of 20 Cardiac Radiographers, working and collaborating together within a larger Central Radiographic Team at University Hospital Southampton. We have the latest X-ograph - DR equipment, with the additional benefit of a Managed Equipment Service ensuring you work with the latest, modern x ray equipment.

Main duties of the job

YOUR MAIN DUTIES

You will be required to work from 08:00 - 18:00 four days during the working week. This post includes weekend working and so has the benefit of additional time off during the week.

There is no "On-Call" for this position.

The successful candidate will do planar radiography, predominately Chest Radiography on both In Patients and Out Patients, Dental OPGs, providing an efficient radiographic service in a well- respected, appreciative department. They will play an active role in Quality Assurance, Reject Analysis and Quality Improvement. There will be opportunities for CPD within other areas of Cardiothoracic Radiology and in Central X Ray. We offer access to Trust-wide development courses, education days and in house training.
