Job summary

You will be responsible for the day-to-day administration requirements of the Theatre Education team which will include support with putting together agendas, writing up notes, diary management and acting as a point of contact for the team. You will support the Theatre Education Team in the development and delivery of projects related to education work streams and in the everyday management of learners across the Division. This post you will be working together to support the aims and objectives the team and so you will need to be able to liaise and co-ordinate workstreams. You will support the Education Manager for Continuous Professional Development in a day-to-day capacity whilst also support reporting and planning for the Training Needs Analysis process.

THE TEAM

The Education team is a small team within Division A Theatres. The teamwork across UHS and with several Higher Education Provider (Universities) to support the delivery of practice placements to many learners including nurses, midwives, allied health professionals. The post will also include workstreams from the International Education Team who support all aspects of education for nurses who have arrived in the UK and therefore this role would enable you to work with many different teams and individuals across UHS and outside of UHS.

Commitment to the Business Apprenticeship is also essential and you will need to be motivated and manage the demands of the course in terms of the attendance and work required ensuring deadlines are met.

There will be a need to undertake local travel across Southampton and possibly further afield.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

This will give you an opportunity to earn while you learn whilst studying towards a highly recognised qualification. The apprenticeship will allow for you to study for your Level 3 Business administrator apprenticeship and will be paid under NHS Band 3 Annex 21 arrangements. Please note this position is for 37.5 hours per week, consisting of four days a week and one day a week studying during term-time.

  • RSA/NVQ Business Administration Level 3 or equivalent experience
  • Courses / further study attended to demonstrate evidence of personal development
