YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WHAT YOULL DO
- You will lead and maintain strong and effective working links with all our R&D partners, taking responsibility for the strategic leadership and performance for the integrated research and innovation infrastructure.
- As part of the R&D Team, you will lead the delivery the UHS Research Strategy and the development of our new collaborative research strategy with the University of Southampton.
- Working closely with the Executive Directors, you will drive research performance, benchmark against national research performance metrics, and national research priorities to shape and implement the corporate objectives for UHS
WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR - Senior level experience in a university teaching hospital environment, with a track record of leading operational delivery against challenging targets, strategic planning and budgetary control for the research infrastructure.
- Extensive knowledge of clinical research and innovation management in the NHS with up-to-date knowledge of strategic and operational challenges.
- Understanding of current national strategic research and innovation priorities and experience of working at a national level with sensitivity to political demand.
