Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a new medical examiner administrator / PA to the associate medical directors.
The medical examiners service scrutinises all hospital deaths and supports families and keeps them informed throughout the process. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the service is properly supported in administration duties, as well as providing administrative assistance to both associate medical directors for patient safety.
About the team:
The team consists of a Lead Medical Examiner, a rota of other medical examiners and a team of 5 medical examiners officers.The normal working hours of the service are Monday to Friday 08:30 16:30, with occasional out of hours work.
The medical examiners officers and administrator report into the Head of Patient & Family Relations, who is responsible for the operational delivery of the service.
The Associate Medical Directors for Patient Safety lead on the clinical and strategic aspects of patient safety.
