University Hospitals Southampton NHS Foundation Trust are looking for a credible, passionate and motivated senior nurse to undertake the roles of Division Head of Nursing and Professions for Division B
Division B, consists of Emergency Medicine, Medicine (including Medicine for Older People), Cancer Care , Pathology, Specialist Medicine and Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS).
This key role forms part of the Divisional Management Team working closely with the Divisional Director of Operations and the Divisional Clinical Director.

Alongside nursing leadership, the role will include organisational and corporate responsibilities. The post holder will act as a professional lead for AHPs in the Division:
Your responsibilities will include:
- Provision of professional and managerial leadership across the Division, focusing on Governance, Patient Safety, Safeguarding and Clinical Standards.
- Leading on developments and innovation in nursing and practice standards linking with local and national agencies
- Being a highly visible presence, ensuring the provision of high quality, evidence based, responsive service which holds the needs of the patient at the centre of care delivery.
- Accountability for the direct delivery of high quality nursing care and continual review of standards in clinical practice working within the financial framework
- Leading on developing clinical and practice standards using Clinical Governance frameworks, patient feedback and audit.

- Evidence of recent further professional development (MBA/MSc or equivalent)
- Registered Nurse or Registered Health Care Professional/ Scientist.
- Evidence of management/ leadership development.
- Highly developed specialist knowledge acquired through significant demonstrable experience in midwifery, nursing leadership and management
