Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust
The Mid Notts Community Therapy Service at Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust provides Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy for adults with physical complexities living in the Mansfield, Ashfield, Newark, and Sherwood localities. The OT role in Community Therapy is to assess peoples' functional abilities (e.g. PADL, DADL, transfers /mobility) and look at both compensatory and rehabilitative approaches to a person's care to enable them to meet their goals. The work varies daily as therapy is provided in the person's own home and allows the OT to really see how people are manging their activities of daily living within different home environments.
