Job summary
Pharmacy services in the Trust have a proud history of supporting pharmacists to develop the skills and competencies needed to become excellent clinical pharmacists.
We are now happy to welcome applications from both Registered Pharmacists and FoundationTrainee Pharmacists who intend to join the GPC register in August 2025. Our Band 6 rotational scheme has a great track record, with all Band 6 pharmacists gaining valuable experience in a range of clinical settings and ascending to Band 7 Senior Clinical Pharmacist roles by the end of their second year.
Due to the split nature of our hospital sites and on-call commitment a car is generally regarded as essential. However, we are willing to negotiate on the rotation sites for those who are not currently able to drive, or who have no plans to learn to do so.
Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment.
You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. An annual fee of £16 per year applies.
A full UK driving license and vehicle for business use is required for this post; however reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010.
Main duties of the job

You will be mentored by a Senior Clinical Pharmacist who can help you to be confident and competent in your role; and line managed by a Senior/Lead Pharmacist from the area of your rotation.
