Job summary
A Team Leading opportunity has arisen within the patients' library at Rampton Hospital. We are looking for a hardworking, dedicated team player who will job share this role. You will organise stock, timetables, staffing, fulfil general librarian tasks and generate ideas to keep the service relevant. The library is open daily Monday - Friday and is popular with patients.
This vacancy is 22.5 hours per week, spread over three days.
There is an additional £7,000 Secure Lead payment per annum (pro rata for part time)
Main duties of the job
The purpose of this role is to take a lead in the daily operation of the patients library; make the area ready and appropriate for the patients that use it. You will need to keep accurate records of stock, attendance, loaned items and any other relevant information. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills as it is necessary to liaise daily with various professionals. We are looking for a confident person who is able to give direction to other staff and meet some of the challenging requests made by library users. The successful candidate will comply with all policies and procedures that are relevant to a high secure environment.

Please note that this post does not meet the pay level required for a Skilled worker visa.
Successful applicants with no prior NHS experience would normally be placed at the bottom of the band in line with Agenda for Change.
