Job summary

A development opportunity has arisen for Community Staff Nurses to provide leadership and support into our Community Nursing Teams within Nottingham West. We have a secondment opportunity in for a period of 12 months as a Senior Staff Nurse.

You must have significant community experience with the ability to motivate yourself and others. It is essential you have effective leadership skills and be committed to supporting integrated ways of working across our community nursing team

Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment.

You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. An annual fee of £16 per year applies.

Main duties of the job

You must be able to maintain the highest standards of quality care for your patients. You will be expected to manage a caseload of complex, high risk and supported self care patients. You will therefore demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage and lead change within the community.

You will need to work autonomously within a multidisciplinary environment and be politically aware of service developments. You will be flexible, reliable and approachable.
