Job summary

We are looking to recruit enthusiastic, organised, self-motivated individuals with excellent interpersonal and communication skills to fulfil this secretarial role within the Clinical and Forensic Psychology Service at Rampton Hospital.

One full-time post (37.5 hours), Mon - Fri

One part-time post (15 hours) - 2 days per week, days to be discussed at interview

Please note that this post does not meet the paylevel required for a Skilled worker visa.Successful applicants with no prior NHS experience would normally be placed at the bottom of the band in line with Agenda for Change. This salary is below the minimum salary required for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa. Main duties of the job

You must demonstrate and have knowledge of a full range of secretarial procedures acquired through relevant NVQ Level 3 or proven practical experience. You should have a good level of education (2 GCSE's (9-4) or A-C and word processing/typing RSA III or equivalent. You will be responsible for a wide variety of administration duties, including digital typing of case notes/reports/correspondence, minuting and the production of minutes whilst maintaining strict confidentiality. You will also be responsible for diary management, processing of post, answering telephone queries and management of files. You will be required to assist with the organisation and preparation of training events and the collation and management of research data. You will be expected to be flexible in providing a comprehensive administration and secretarial support across the whole service, under the direction of the PA/Admin Lead.

You must demonstrate and have knowledge of a full range of secretarial procedures acquired through relevant NVQ Level 3 or proven practical experience.   • Liaise with staff at all levels internal and external to the Hospital
  • Use Trust systems for ordering, logging of information and data
  • Be responsible for all aspects associated with required meetings
  • Be flexible in approach to cover across the Service when required
  • Maintain strict confidentiality at all times
  • Maintain electronic diaries as required
  • GCSE 9-4, A-C or equivalent including English Language
  • RSA Typing/Word Processing Stage III or equivalent in administration
  • Good Numeracy and Literacy Skills
  • Previous experience of working in and as part of a team in a busy office environment
  • Excellent administrative/organisation skills
  • Excellent IT knowledge and skills, with comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office software to produce graphics, tables and presentation / publishing packages
  • Audio typing skills, including excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise and re-prioritise workload on a frequent basis in order to meet deadlines.
