Main duties of the job
As a CAMHS Urgent Care Practitioner, you will:Work as part of an MDT to assess, formulate and support young people and their families when they are in a crisis situation and require access to mental health support. This may be in the community or in one of the acute hospitals.
Offer targeted follow up interventions in a range of therapeutic modalities and training will be provided to help staff continue to build their careers.
Manage mental health risk and work with the network around the young person to ensure safety and wellbeing.We are seeking and developing a highly skilled, experienced, compassionate, flexible and motivated workforce.

Contribute to a shared team caseload whilst considering and adhering tosafeguarding policy and procedure and national and locallegislation
Offer support and supervision to junior colleagues and receive regular Clinical and Operational supervision to maintain practice. Participate in group supervisions facilitated by specialist practitioners including Systemic Family Therapy and CBT Psychotherapists.Plan and successfully manage smooth transitions wherethey are clinically indicated
Seek support from the Clinical and Operational Leads and Clinical Nurse Specialists / Senior Specialist Practitioners where needed.Support peers and colleagues and promote a team working environmentEnsure suitable risk management and care plans are formulated for all clinical casesMaintain contemporaneous records in alignment with Trustpolicy
