Job summary
In conjunction with the Head of Pharmacy, Mental Health Services, deliver, manage and develop a clinical pharmacy service to Adult Mental Health (AMH) Community Mental Health Teams (CMHT) within the Mental Health Care Group. This includes Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) teams, Local Mental Health Teams (LMHT) and Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Teams (CRHTT). This involves leading a team of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians working in AMH CMHTs.
Main duties of the job
To undertake the duties of Independent Prescribing, ensuring compliance with Trust policy and to maintain appropriate skills and competency in accordance with guidance set out by professional regulatory bodies.
To contribute to the development and delivery of multidisciplinary training in Pharmacy/Medicines Optimisation matters across the Trust.
To support the Head of Pharmacy, Mental Health Services and Education and Training Leads in the development and delivery of education sessions and experiences to pharmacy undergraduates.
To act as the lead for Pharmacist Prescribing and Advanced Clinical Practice. To support the implementation and ongoing development of this agenda in collaboration with the Trust Advanced Clinical Practice (ACP) & Non-Medical Prescribing (NMP) Lead and others.
