Job summary

This role is for a Service Manager of our Nottingham Young People's Gender Service. It will involve having managerial oversight and accountability for the service. The role will require leadership and management skills to support the service in meeting key performance indicators. There will be a requirement for engagement with the wider management structure of the service and partner agencies including NHSE. This is a great opportunity to offer management and leadership for a new and innovative service.

Main duties of the job

To manage the service ensuring staff wellbeing, supervision and support. Ensuring that KPI's are met and that staff are functioning well within their role to ensure good quality and timely access to care.

A full UK driving licence and vehicle for business use is required for this post; however reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010.

  • Experience of service development/ transformation/change management
  • A demonstrable capacity and capability for operational/clinical service management at middle level in a health or public sector including staff management, financial management and change management
  • Demonstrable success in delivering change and performance with and through your teams, by encouraging them in development and delivery plans, establishing clear work priorities with them, delegating effectively, ensuring a capability to deliver, monitoring performance, and giving feedback
  • Working with and reporting to commissioners

  • Experience of working with multi-disciplinary teams
