This post is eligible for a Golden Hello payment of £2,750 for new starters who are external to the Trust. This is payable in 3 instalments over a 2 year period. This payment is only eligible to new starters who do not already hold a contract of employment with the Trust and have not been an employee of the Trust in the previous 3 years. This post also includes paid enhancements for unsocial hours working during night, weekends and bank holidays.

Main duties of the job

Newark and Sherwood District are hoping to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic Specialist Public Health Practitioner, (Health Visitor) to join our Integrated Healthy Families Team within the Locality. Care will be delivered in line with the National and Local guidelines and public health priorities.

You will work as part of a team to deliver universal and targeted health services to the 0-19 year population and will be responsible for the day to day management of a defined caseload, managing and supporting a skill mix team.

You will be expected to develop excellent partnership working relationships in order to provide seamless services to Children, Young people and their families. This role will provide leadership and expertise across Universal Children's Services within Health Visiting and School Nursing and will support organisational changes.

This post requires a knowledgeable practitioner with excellent communication skills and a desire to develop their leadership and management skills. We support a hybrid working manner, when appropriate and at the Manager's discretion, out and about for clinical purposes and working from home when possible.
