Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly organised and motivated receptionist, to join our admin team.

The Local Mental Health Teams provide a wide range of services to clients in our Community. The post holder will provide a welcoming and confidential reception service to these clients as well as staff and visitors.

Main duties of the job

The City East Team are looking for an enthusiastic, compassionate and highly motivated receptionist to join us, in a challenging but rewarding role.

Applicants will need to have:

  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team, as well as on their own.
  • Excellent telephone manner.
  • Provide the highest standard of customer care.
  • Excellent communication, motivation, organisational skills and an ability to multi task.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

We require an enthusiastic, confident and profession team player to work in our fast paced Reception area. The role mainly entails dealing with a multiplicity of phone calls and ensuring that they are signposted in a timely manner, following clear policy and procedural guidance.

The post holder will be expected to:

  • Work as part of a team providing clerical and administrative support
  • Provide a welcoming and confidential reception service to clients, staff and visitors.
  • Undertake reception duties, including monitoring patients & visitor attendance, dealing with telephone enquiries and incoming mail.
  • Receive and make internal and external telephone calls from staff, service users/patients/clients, members of the public and external agencies ensuring message received are appropriately signposted and actioned.
  • To undertake any other duties that would be a reasonable expectation of the role.

Please note that this post does not meet the pay level required for a Skilled worker visa.

Successful applicants with no prior NHS experience would normally be placed at the bottom of the band in line with Agenda for Change. This salary is below the minimum salary required for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa. In these circumstances the Trust would not, therefore, be able to sponsor for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa.
