Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a 12 month Fixed Term Contract Personal Assistant within the Community Health Services Directorate.

This role requires an experienced Administrator/Personal Assistant who can co-ordinate and support the work of the Area Manager and other Senior Management Team staff and be able to demonstrate flexibility/ adaptability to deal with changes in the workload and priorities of the Area Manager and Senior Management Team as they arise.

Applicants should have excellent communication, organisational and time management skills and personal credibility.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that accurate work is completed within the time limits, framework and standards set, providing a high level efficient, comprehensive and confidential secretarial and administrative service to the Area Manager within the Offender Health Directorate.

To act on their own initiative in the absence of there line manager and without direct supervision.

To use their own initiative and judgement to resolve complex issues.Manages and prioritises own workload, with the ability to respond to urgent demand or tight deadlines.

To work as part of a local PA and administrative team.

Provide cover in the absence of colleagues and where service demands, this may include working at other sites.

To work within the provisions of the Trust Health and Safety Policy.The post holder will be based at Duncan Macmillan House, but there may be a requirement to travel to other sites.

The Offender Health Directorate is one of the largest and most successful providers of prison healthcare in the UK. The Directorate provide physical, mental health and substance misuse healthcare services in prisons across the East Midlands, Lincolnshire & Leicestershire.

The Directorate provides healthcare to 8 prisons. You are part of a large peer group of 400+ healthcare professionals with access to peer support, supervision and excellent opportunities for learning and development. To co-ordinate away days, conferences and other events as required.

Arranging, typing and collation of "My Annual Review" and reviews of staff ensuring timelines are adhered too.
