Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to join the Redwood 2 team as their new Activity Co-Ordinator.
The role will be full time, Monday to Friday 9-5 however there is some flexibility around this.
The role will be ward based, although there will be times when activities will take place out of the ward environment.
Work will be on a 1:1 and a group basis.
The role works closely with the ward team and also with OT team and Live team.
Please note this post does not meetskilllevel required for a Skilled worker visa. Applicants requiring a Skilled Worker visa will usually need to be in a role which is at Band 3 or above,however please note not all Band 3 roles are capable of sponsorship. Main duties of the job
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to join the Redwood 2 team as their new Activity Co-Ordinator.
The role will involve working with patients on the ward and with the ward therapy and nursing teams to plan and facilitate daily individual and group activity programmes, which provide therapeutic and meaningful social and physical activities, enhancing patient's quality of life and supporting their physical and psychological well-being.
Activities would generally be ward based however there is opportunity to organise and facilitate activities off the ward with patients. The time of work would be flexible, including doing later evenings to facilitate evening activities if this was deemed appropriate, helpful and supportive to patient recovery.
The role will involve working with patients with mental health issues, which will require you to be creative in your approach and ideas in engaging these patients in activity and making these activities meaningful.
You will need to be able to work under your own initiative with guidance from the Ward Manager, Nursing and Therapy team.
