Job summary
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and efficient Clinical Audit Co-ordinator to join the Offender Health Team at NHS Nottinghamshire Foundation Trust.
The Clinical Audit Coordinator supports the development, implementation and monitoring of programmes of local and national clinical audit, clinical effectiveness, and quality improvement to benefit patient care, safety, and experience.
Offender Health provides Physical Healthcare, Mental Health, Neurodiversity, and Substance misuse services in 7 prisons across Lincolnshire, Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire and in a short term holding facility as well as Offender Personality Disorder services in prisons and community. You are part of a large peer group of 400+ healthcare professionals with access to peer support, supervision and excellent opportunities for learning and development.
Main duties of the job
We are committed to working in partnership with prison services, national probation service and our criminal justice system partners to improve health, support justice to reduce re-offending behaviour. The Offender Health Team truly believes it can make a difference to the lives of offenders by offering consistent, high-quality care in primary, mental health, substance misuse and neurodivergence services that are equivalent to healthcare delivered in community.
It is an exciting time to join NHS Nottinghamshire Foundation Trust. The evaluation and improvement of patient care is of paramount importance to the Trust and clinical audit and quality improvement processes are central to this.
The post holder will promote clinical audit as a way of improving clinical care and will provide project support by way of data collection, analysis and dissemination of results of key clinical audits and quality improvement projects from inception through to the implementation of action plans.
The ideal candidate will have excellent time management, facilitation and communication skills and be organised with skills in data collection and analysis. They will be able to work both independently and as part of a team to inspire trust and confidence with patient safety at the centre of Trust.
